No injuries were reported after firefighters Sunday morning knocked down a fire involving an electric vehicle within a two-story vehicle manufacturing facility in an industrial area of Los Angeles’ Gateway community, at the outskirts of Gardena, authorities said.

Firefighters dispatched at 4:37 a.m to the major emergency structure fire at 501 W. 190th St. had the blaze out within 40 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

No evacuation was required and the specific cause and origin of the fire was under investigation.
