DUBLIN -- Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III is being loaded into an ambulance to go to the hospital after suffering a shoulder injury. Austin landed hard on his shoulder after a catch, and had his arm in a sling.
Austin was questionable to return to the game. He left the field after going into the blue medical tent and went into the locker room. It is unknown just how severe Austin’s injury is, and if it could be something that is serious.
Austin came into the game as the clear WR2 on the Steelers’ depth chart, and no one behind him and DK Metcalf have stepped up in a serious way.
If he has to miss any significant time, this could push the Steelers to go make a move for a wide receiver during the bye week and get that player up to speed for future games. They next
