The Lion’s company that carries out GIS-based mechanised sweeping in the southern sectors is set to get extension. Even as they knew that the three-month extension given to the firm is set to expire on September 30, the municipal corporation floated tenders late, it seems.

The firm takes Rs 5.10 crore a month for the GIS-based mechanised sweeping in the southern belt.

An agenda item in this regard will be placed before the General House meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

A supplementary agenda item regarding the tender document for GIS-based mechanised and manual sweeping of southern sectors of Chandigarh was placed before the General House on June 3, 2025.
