Orchard Park, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills survived the New Orleans Saints’ upset effort on Sunday.
After scoring on their first two drives of the game, Buffalo’s offense disappeared in the first half due to penalties and poor play by the offensive line. Things improved in the second half, but the team’s inconsistencies on offense kept things interesting well into the fourth quarter.
Buffalo moved to 4-0 following the 31-19 win, but there is plenty to be worried about as a primetime matchup against the New England Patriots looms.
Encouraged
James Cook: Cook continued his hot streak on Sunday with another 100-plus yard effort on the ground. It was Cook’s third straight game with 100 yards or more on the ground.
Cook has arguably been the Bills’ MVP through the first quarter of the season.
