ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A more than two-touchdown favorite Sunday at Highmark Stadium, the Buffalo Bills found themselves in a tight game after 30 minutes. Then 45 minutes. Basically, all 60 minutes.

In a tougher-than-expected outcome, the Bills beat the New Orleans Saints 31-19 and improved to 4-0 this season.

The Bills (4-0) struck first, on a 43-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to wide receiver Khalil Shakir, then scored again by quarter's end on a 1-yard scoring run by James Cook.

New Orleans (0-4) managed to stay in the game, though, with an 18-yard scoring run by running back Kendre Miller and a 54-yard field goal by Blake Grupe.
