DETROIT –- The injuries continue to pile up for the Detroit Lions’ secondary, with another starter leaving Sunday’s game early — and this one appearing to be severe.

With 13:56 remaining in their Week 4 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, Lions cornerback D.J. Reed suffered a hamstring injury after breaking up a pass intended for receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Reed immediately grabbed his leg and writhed in pain before trainers rushed to his side. Moments later, the medical cart was brought out to take him off the field — typically a troubling sign.

Earlier in the game, with 4:36 left before halftime, Reed recorded Detroit’s second interception of the day off Browns quarterback Joe Flacco.
