CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — One man was taken to the hospital and three others were taken into custody after police were called to the area of Dexter and Darling streets in Central Falls on Saturday night.

According to police, the victim had cuts to the back and the arm and told them he had been assaulted by two men.

Two men who were present in the area then tried to flee the scene, police said, leading officers to quickly identify them as the suspects and place them under arrest for felony assault and disorderly conduct. A third man was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction.

Police said the victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not life-threatening. They're calling this a targeted incident, and say
