After a magical regular season and first-round sweep in the playoffs, the Minnesota Lynx had their season come to a crashing halt with three consecutive losses to the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA semifinals, ending with a gut-wrenching 86-81 loss in Game 4 of the best-of-five series Sunday night.

Minnesota won the first quarter 25-14. Phoenix responded by dominating the second quarter, 24-13, sending the game to halftime tied at 38-38.
In the third quarter, the Lynx punched back by winning the 10 minutes 30-17, taking a 68-55 lead into the fourth quarter. Back came Phoenix, opening the final quarter on a 14-2 run to make it a one point game, 70-69, with 4:46 to play.
