The police on Sunday booked a principal and a bus driver of a private school in Panipat after a 7-year-old Class 2 student was allegedly subjected to corporal punishment for not completing his homework.

According to a complaint filed on Saturday, Dolly, the boy’s mother, said she saw a video on social media showing her son tied upside down to a window while the bus driver beat him.

Dolly said that after seeing the video, she and her family visited the school the same day and asked principal Reena about the incident. She added, “My son told us that Ajay took him to a room in the school and tied him upside down with a window. The driver slapped my son several times and made a video of the incident.
