NEW ORLEANS — Coffee lovers across the country can score free cups of joe Monday as national and regional chains mark National Coffee Day with giveaways and discounts.

From Krispy Kreme’s free coffee and doughnut deal to Dunkin’s app-based Rewards perk, stores are rolling out promotions designed to lure customers on the annual caffeine-themed holiday. Other chains, including Circle K, PJ’s Coffee and CC’s Coffee House, are also offering free brews or specials to mark the occasion.
