FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- An 18-year-old driver is seriously injured after a bad crash Monday morning in Fayetteville.

It happened on John B. Carter Road.

State troopers said the driver veered off the road and slammed into a tree before spinning into a yard. He was rushed to the hospital with a head injury.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
