CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A man charged with first-degree murder is on the run after a stabbing in Clearfield over the weekend.
Daniel Weaver, 36, of Grampian, is being sought by the Clearfield Regional Police Department after they responded to an assault Sunday, Sept. 28, at around 2:40 p.m.
According to police, witnesses reported the assault was committed with a bladed-edged weapon. The suspect, identified as Weaver, then left the scene before police arrived.
Police originally reported that Weaver was being charged with attempted murder; however, court documents Monday morning show he's been charged with first-degree murder.
Weaver is currently at large. Police said he was last seen wearing a long grey shirt and blue jeans and he may be wearing glasses. He's approximately 5'9" and 19
