COLUMBUS, OH (WFSB) - A student from Connecticut was found dead in a stadium on the campus of Ohio State University.

University officials identified the student as William Meyers of Fairfield.

Meyers was found at Ohio Stadium on Friday.

“There was a fatality at the stadium [Friday] morning,” a university spokesperson said. “Police [were] on the scene. Foul play is not suspected and there is no ongoing threat to the community.”

The spokesperson put out a statement that said Ohio State is mourning the loss of Meyers.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time,” the statement read.

The university said counseling and consultation services are available for students in need of support.

No details about Myers’ death were released.
