BUFFALO, NY (WFSB) - The UConn Huskies went on the road Saturday and pulled off a last-second victory over the University of Buffalo.
It was another road game in the football team’s season that came down to the very last moments of play.
Both defenses controlled play for much of the first half.
UConn scored first, as quarterback Joe Fagnano found All-American candidate Skylar Bell for a 25-yard touchdown toss.
After Buffalo tied it with its own touchdown pass, UConn’s Cam Edwards scored on an 8-yard run in the third quarter to put the Huskies up 14-7.
In the fourth quarter, UConn was still up 7, but the Bulls found the endzone with barely a minute to play.
Yet, that was enough time for UConn, led by Fagnano, to drive into field goal range.
