The political storm over the death of Assam’s beloved singer Zubeen Garg intensified on September 29 with Assam Congress President Gaurav Gogoi raising sharp questions about the state government’s handling of the case.
Speaking on the ongoing SIT and CID investigations, Gogoi alleged that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s role appeared “highly suspicious.”
He pointed to glaring gaps in the probe, particularly regarding the whereabouts of key aides of the late singer.
