A mum and dad who claim they had personal encounters with Lucy Letby have broken their silence for the first time – alleging the convicted nurse laughed in their faces when they feared something terrible had happened to their child.

The pair made the startling disclosure in a new Channel 4 documentary titled Lucy Letby: Murder or Mistake which broadcasts tonight (September 29).

Letby is currently serving a life sentence for the murders of seven infants and the attempted murders of seven others while employed as a nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
