GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Good news, drivers! You may be seeing some relief at the pump as the average gas price in Michigan has dropped in the past week.
The average is now at $3.03 per gallon of regular unleaded gas, a decrease of 14 cents since last week, according to AAA. This average is also a whopping 35 cents less than this time last month.
Drivers should expect to pay about $45 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas.
AAA said the price drop comes amid an increase in demand.
"Drivers across Michigan are seeing lower prices at the pump with many metro areas seeing averages below $3 a gallon," said spokesperson Adrienne Woodland.
Ann Arbor ($3.14), Metro Detroit ($3.11) and Saginaw ($2.98) are seeing some of the state's most expensive gas prices. Meanwhile, gas is well below $3 per gallon
