CLINTON, Mass. —

A person is in custody after a social media threat to a school in Clinton, Massachusetts, the school confirms.

On Monday morning, Clinton police learned of a social media post that appeared to be a potential threat to one of the town's schools. The post was also reported to the FBI.

Clinton police were able to identify a suspect who was placed into custody a short time later without incident. Police said the suspect is a juvenile.

"At this time, there is no current threat to the schools; however, the matter remains under investigation," Clinton Schools Superintendent Steven C. Meyer said.

No other information about the suspect or the nature of the threat was immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
