A Brookford police officer and a Davidson County EMT are accused of accessing government computers to interfere with a child sexual abuse case in Davidson County, according to authorities.

Benjamin Geoffrey Myers, 38, and Jennifer Aree Myers, 44, both of Denton, North Carolina, are each charged with one count of felony accessing government computers and one count of obstruction of justice, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Jennifer Myers was an officer with the Brookford Police Department.

Jennifer Myers has been terminated, Brookford Town Manager Marshall Eckard said on Monday. Benjamin Myers is an emergency medical technician with Davidson County Emergency Medical Services, the sheriff’s office said.
