After dropping its first two games of the fall at home, the Mt. Hope High football team earned its first win of the 2025 season, a 28-23 road triumph over East Greenwich in a league contest played Friday night, Sept. 26.
The Huskies improved to 1-2 overall and in Division III with the victory.
Senior running back Robert Annis was the offensive standout in the contest for the locals, scoring all four of their touchdowns.
He initially reached the endzone from five-yards out for the first score of the game in the second quarter. Quarterback Will Francis set up the touchdown with a keeper that gained 34-yards. Jake Mancieri made it 7-0 with the point-after kick.
Just before the break, Annis again was the scorer, this time breaking loose up the middle for a 55-yard TD run. Man
