CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Help is on the way for the Browns at their beleaguered offensive tackle spot.
On Monday, they acquired Texans left tackle Cam Robinson, 29, in a trade with Texans for a swap of late-round picks in 2027. The Browns shipped a sixth-rounder to Houston and got back a seventh.
A second-round pick of the Jaguars in 2017 out of Alabama, Robinson has played most of his career at left tackle. After 7 1/2 years in Jacksonville, he was traded to the Vikings midway through last season, and started 11 games for them in place of the injured Christian Darrisaw. He then signed a one-year free agent deal with the Texans this offseason worth $12 million.
