Carolina defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-0 last week, and on the first possession against the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Panthers moved 76 yards in seven plays for a touchdown.
Carolina quarterback Bryce Young completed all four of his passes on the drive for 48 yards and capped the series with a 7-yard touchdown toss to tight end Tommy Tremble with 10:51 left in the first half.
But New England scored the next 42 points, backup QB Andy Dalton came on to lead a 91-yard touchdown drive on the Panthers’ final possession and Carolina coach Dave Canales was asked after the 42-13 loss if Young would remain the NFL team’s starting quarterback.
“Absolutely,” Canales said . “Counting on him to keep pushing us forward, counting on him to keep us on track. You know, there was some ne
