A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in a cul-de-sac in a Midlands town.

Emergency services were called to Apple Tree Close in Bromyard, Herefordshire on Saturday (September 27) at around 6am.

They found a 61-year-old woman who had died.

A 54-year-old man was been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He has now been charged with the offence and named as Julian Thomas, 54, of no fixed abode

Thomas has been remanded in custody and will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (September 30).
