CHENNAI: A Bollywood supporting actor was allegedly held with 3.5kg of cocaine, worth 35 crore in the international market, in a joint operation by Chennai Customs and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Monday. Acting on special intelligence, the air intelligence unit of the customs intercepted the actor (name withheld by the investigation agencies), who acted in small roles in movies such as Student of the Year, when he arrived from Singapore in the early hours of Sunday. His checked-in luggage was examined, and officials found plastic pouches containing a white powdery substance concealed in the false bottom of his trolley.
