The United States Postal Service (USPS) is temporarily increasing prices for certain shipping services during the upcoming holiday season. Starting at midnight Central Time on Sunday, October 5, 2025, the price adjustments will apply to Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, Parcel Select, and USPS Ground Advantage services. These changes will remain in effect until midnight Central Time on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
The USPS announced that the price hikes are intended to help cover extra handling costs and align prices with competitive practices. Retail customers will see increases ranging from $0.40 to $7 for various weight categories and zones. For example, Priority Mail shipments for Zones 5-9 will see a $0.90 increase for 0-3 pounds and a $7 increase for 26-70 pounds.
