NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - A Newberry County man now faces multiple counts related to child sex abuse material, according to authorities.
The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office said Timothy Kent Hart, 41, was arrested and charged after Internet Crimes Against Children task force investigators received a tip that allegedly led them to Hart.
Investigators said that Hart reportedly possessed files of child sex abuse material.
He was arrested on Sept. 26 and charged with five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which is a felony offense that holds up to 10 years in prison per count.
Hart is currently being held at the Newberry County Detention Center. His bond has been set at $50,000.
