EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - There’s big news for basketball fans in Evansville.

The Ohio Valley Conference announced Monday they have extended their run here in town into the next decade.

Conference officials say they are now returning to the Ford Center through 2032.

That’s for both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball OVC championships.

OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauch says they are grateful for the support from Evansville leaders and hosting the event at the Ford Center is “like coming home.”

“Given the warm welcome from the community, the exceptional venue, and Hoosier hospitality, this experience ensures we are providing OVC student-athletes with an exemplary championship experience fitting with the OVC’s rich history of committing to excellence,” she says.
