The public’s first look at the 2025-26 Michigan men’s basketball team will come on Oct. 17 in an exhibition game against Cincinnati.

Michigan announced the game on Monday. It’s the first on the schedule and the last to be announced.

The two teams last met in the 1992 Final Four, a Michigan victory. Michigan holds a 3-1 lead in the all-time series, with the previous meetings taking place in Cincinnati.

This one won’t count toward either team’s record. The Wolverines will play a second exhibition, against St. John’s in New York, on Oct. 25 before opening the regular season at home against Oakland on Nov. 3. The latter begins a 31-game slate that includes 20 Big Ten games . All of that, minus the Cincinnati matchup, was released earlier this month.

Michigan-Cincinnati will tip at 6 p.m.
