HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A Myrtle Beach man has been arrested by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and charged with insurance fraud and forgery, the agency said on Monday.

Steven Anthony Tolisano, 24, was charged with presenting a false claim for insurance payment of $2,000 or less and forgery of a value of less than $10,000. He was arrested Friday after the South Carolina Department of Insurance requested SLED investigate.

On or about April 12, Tolisano "did make, forge, or counterfeit; or willfully acted or assisted in the false making, forging, or counterfeiting of a Palmetto VCA invoice to Pets Best Insurance showing full payment of $315.85 for services rendered for treatment to a dog in order to obtain an undeserved economic benefit in the form of co-insurance payments
