RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Nevada System of Higher Education is expanding credits for higher learning.
The change will broaden how Credit for Prior Learning is awarded.
“Credit for prior learning provides students a bridge for gaps between past education and current experience, making the return to school for the completion of a degree more efficient and accessible,” said Board of Regents Chair Byron Brooks. “It’s a powerful tool for adult learners who have spent time in the workforce or military by leveraging their previous learning and life experience to get a head start on a degree. By providing credit for prior learning, we are hoping to make it attractive for any of the 330,000 Nevada residents who have some college but haven’t finished their degree an easy transitional return to one o
