A Florida father allegedly used an "electrical cord" to whip and punish his daughter , along with beating her, after he asked the child to go to church and she refused, cops say.

"The defendant came into her bedroom demanding that she go to church," says Renel Sanon's arrest affidavit, which was obtained by Law&Crime on Monday.

Upon the daughter's refusal, Sanon allegedly "pulled the covers off of her" and began to punch the victim "in the chest area with a closed fist," the affidavit says.

It's unclear how old the victim is; Sanon is 63.

"The victim stated that she began to fight back at which time the defendant grabbed an electrical cord and struck her in the left upper arm causing a visible laceration," the affidavit alleges.
