U.S. Sens. John Fetterman and David McCormick released a letter addressing antisemitism and campus safety. While it is important to condemn antisemitism wherever it appears, their message was incomplete.

By focusing only on the protection of Jewish students, the letter ignored the equally urgent need to safeguard Palestinian, Muslim, Arab, immigrant, and other communities who are experiencing harm, silencing, and exclusion on campuses across Pennsylvania.

Even more troubling, the senators addressed antisemitism in a void, disconnected from the broader reality. Their letter has completely ignored the genocide unfolding in Palestine, a genocide that students across Pennsylvania have been peacefully protesting and demanding that our government end its complicity.
