TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The one-year construction project aimed at redesigning the Rincon Mountain Visitor Center at Saguaro National Park will begin in October.
According to a news release, the construction project will start on Oct. 13 and is expected to be completed by fall of 2026.
“Redesigning the parking lot and infrastructure around the Rincon Mountain District Visitor Center has been a park goal for many years,” Superintendent Kelly Fuhrmann said. “We’re looking forward to breaking ground on this project and seeing a marked improvement in the visitor experience for all user groups in the east district of the park.”
The one-year construction project will include a new bike ramada, parking lot, entrance road, comfort station, and sidewalks.
The goal of the construction project is
