TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Sun Van is set to unveil its upgraded fleet, including 50 new vehicles and five electric vans, at a ribbon-cutting event, marking a significant step towards sustainable transportation in Tucson.

In 2022, Sun Tran received a $12 million Low or No Emission Grant from the Federal Transit Administration, which, along with contributions from local entities, led to a $15 million investment in electric vehicles and infrastructure. This makes Sun Van the first paratransit provider in Arizona to operate all electric paratransit vans, according to a news release.
