MEMPHIS, Tenn. — We're told the Memphis Safe Task Force was set to be in full effect this week, with more than a dozen federal agencies, state troopers and the National Guard assisting Memphis Police.

But at last check Monday, there have been no sightings of the National Guard on Memphis streets.

Some folks visiting Memphis said they had heard the Guard is coming, but they haven't seen them, either.

"I'm from a country where we don't have guns, only airports and places like that. So seeing people with guns walking around, I'm not sure about that," said Graham Taylor, who was visiting Memphis from the United Kingdom and sipping coffee near Beale Street.

Businesses on Beale just opened their doors, with delivery trucks rumbling, but no sign of the National Guard.
