It’s been 34 years since four teenage girls were brutally murdered at an Austin, Texas, yogurt shop. Amy Ayers , Eliza Thomas, and sisters Jennifer and Sarah Harbison were killed on Dec. 6, 1991, while closing up the popular dessert joint. While the case went cold for decades, police named Robert Eugene Brashers as a suspect on Friday.
Brashers died in 1999 of suicide, and is a suspected serial killer . While officials stated in an official release that this new evidence came to light after updated DNA results, the case was also renewed following the premiere of a recent HBO documentary, which detailed the grisly crime.
