A fledgling career fair that hopes to better address securing the future for youth and immigrants attracted up to 100 visitors on Saturday.

Two of them, Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School student Brandon Bell and École secondaire catholique La Citadelle’s Elodie Tessier, appeared impressed with the knowledge they acquired.

“It was fun,” Bell said, of his experience that was initiated by Tessier’s mother.

“I wanted to visit each of the booths to find out about the different careers.”

They visited each of the booths staffed by the city’s police and firefighters, Cornwall Public Library, Roy McMurtry Clinic (legal aid), St. Lawrence College paramedic students, and the Cornwall Islamic Foundation.
