TEXARKANA, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality issued a boil water notice to parts of the City of Texarkana due to low pressure/no water pressure from a water main break.

The affected locations are the Liberty-Eylau area, south of 7th Street and west of South Lake Drive.

All customers should follow these directions; however, children, seniors, and people with weakened immune systems are especially vulnerable.

Disinfection is recommended for any water that will be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, food preparation, or rinsing food.

To disinfect water and ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria and microbes, bring water to a rolling boil and maintain for at least two minutes in a clean container.
