Surrey's general manager of engineering Scott Neuman in a report to council being voted on tonight asked the politicians to approve Surrey's conditions to move forward with the 30 per cent design work for the King George Boulevard Bus Rapid Transit (“BRT”) project.

If approved, council is then asked to endorse TransLink forging ahead on this.

In October 2023 Surrey council endorsed Bus Rapid Transit on King George from Whalley to South Surrey and directed city staff to work with TransLink to advance its design.
