BARDSTOWN, Ky. — Another man sentenced in the murder of Crystal Rogers wants his conviction overturned , but he's taking his appeal directly to Kentucky's highest court.
Joseph Lawson was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in the Bardstown mom's murder earlier this month. In July, a jury convicted Lawson of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.
On Monday, court documents reveal Lawson's attorneys have filed a notice of appeal to the Kentucky Supreme Court asking the high court to reverse his sentence and conviction in Rogers' murder.
