Gov. Tina Kotek said her administration will work to stall President Donald Trump’s mobilization of 200 troops even as she urged Oregonians to stay calm in the face of uncertain events in coming days or even weeks and months.

The Secretary of Defense federalized the Oregon National Guard troops Sunday, and they are slated to be deployed as early as Thursday, based on the guard’s four-day mobilization timeline, Lt. Col. Stephen Bomar previously said . The deployment has been challenged in court and could be put on hold by a federal judge, with a hearing on a requested temporary restraining order scheduled for Friday.
