Preparations at the festival’s venue, Discovery Park, have been underway. However, it’s not just the stages and lights that need to get set up. There’s one detail that needs to be done to make sure the festival grounds are free of any unnecessary buzz.

“We are searching for and treating yellowjacket nests,” Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District technician Jacob Pascual said.

Pascual said Discovery Park also happens to be the perfect place for yellowjackets to call home.
