On Monday at 6:27 p.m. the National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 7:15 p.m. for Malheur County.
The storms are predicted to bring nickel-sized hail (0.88 inches) and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
“At 6:27 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Crooked Creek State Park, or 9 miles west of Rome, moving northeast at 35 mph,” states the weather service. “Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.”
