Jeremy Swayman atoned for some shaky moments in the second period with some big stops in the third period and overtime that included a Philadelphia Flyers power play but he couldn’t quite finish the job in the shootout.

Bobby Brink scored the lone goal in the skills competition to lift the Flyers to a 3-2 victory in preseason action at TD Garden on Monday.

Swayman got better as the game went on while David Pastrnak, who missed the first few days of training camp with knee tendinitis, looked a lot like his old self in the loss. The B’s got goals from Sean Kuraly and Morgan Geekie.

The first period was scoreless and uneventful, with the B’s outshooting the Flyers 5-3, thanks in part to the lone power play of the period.
