ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened Monday afternoon.

According to a preliminary report from THP, 43-year-old Jason Mullins was riding a motorcycle westbound on Kingston Highway when he hit a patch of hydraulic fluid in the road and lost control just before 3 p.m.

THP said the motorcycle crashed onto its left side and continued sliding until it hit a guardrail.

Mullins was killed in the crash, THP said. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash.
