KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Oak Ridge city leaders met with the Scarboro community Monday night to discuss safety concerns months after a 10 were injured in a shooting and stabbing Memorial Day weekend.

Monday’s meeting was the second since the incident. James Lewis, who’s lived in Oak Ridge for 50 years, wants to see more from police.
“I hope he will change his mind and come down and listen to us and hear us,” Lewis said.
Lewis spoke directly to Oak Ridge Police Chief Robin Smith about this. He said he’s not quite certain any of the changes suggested to city leaders will be implemented.
