Columbia and First/Last Mile Valet Service are expanding their partnership to establish the Ride Home Program, starting on Oct. 6.

The program is designed to give rides home to people in Columbia whose income falls at or below 200% of the federal poverty limit.

The Ride Home Program will " allow individuals in Columbia to return to their support system so that they may receive practical, emotional and informational assistance from their hometown," according to a news release from the City of Columbia.

First/Last Mile is a transportation valet service that aims to get rid of transportation barriers by providing rides for employees to and from work throughout Columbia and the Boone County area.

Participants in the program can be referred from Room at the Inn, Turning Point, Divert, 4ACh
