Following the Telangana State Election Commission’s announcement of the schedule for the second ordinary elections to rural local bodies, Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao said that the Congress government was compelled to accept what the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had been demanding, 42 per cent reservation for Backward Classes.
Speaking to ANI following the announcement by the state election commission on Monday, Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao said, “The Congress government had to give what the BJP had demanded. We have to see now that the 42% reservation for Backward Classes is properly implemented. I am sure the BJP will do well in the local body elections.”
