Marshall, N.Y. — A woman was airlifted Monday evening to a Syracuse hospital after she was seriously injured in a bicycle crash in Oneida County, deputies said.

The crash was reported at about 5:20 p.m. on Summit Road, between State Route 12 and Davis Road, in the town of Marshall, according to a news release from Robert Maciol, the Oneida County sheriff.

The woman, who was not immediately identified, appears to have lost control of the bicycle due to “unknown circumstances” and crashed, Maciol said. She was later airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
