The suspect accused of opening fire on Bourbon Street, striking four is still on the loose. One of those victims died from their injuries.
We now know the person killed was a mother from Chicago. The coroner identified her Monday as 33-year-old Jessica Williams. Advertisement
WDSU Reporter Shay O'Connor was live from along Bourbon Street with what witnesses said unfolded.
O'Connor was told Williams was in town for her birthday. Social media posts show Williams with money pinned to her clothes, having the time of her life, before her life was sadly taken away.
Jae said, "I don't visit Bourbon. I don't eat on Bourbon. Don't go on Bourbon. It's always something on Bourbon."
